Welcome to the Interculturalism, Meaning and Identity project home page. The project is an exciting opportunity to engage in creative and innovative inter-disciplinary and multi-disciplinary research dialogues which seek to explore the meaning and implications of interculturalism, from both a practical, political perspective and in a more strictly theoretical sense.
The project will critically engage with a number of core themes:
- contemporary rediscoveries and redefinitions of culture
-
cultural boundaries, peoples and nations
-
cultural formations
-
politicising culture
-
art and cultural representations
-
crossing cultural boundaries
Related themes will also be identified for development and exploration. Out of our deliberations it is anticipated that a series of related cross context research projects will develop.
