Timings
This The conference will commence at 2.00pm on Monday 11th August 2003 and finish at 5.00pm on Wednesday 13th August 2003. Registration will be from 12.00pm on the opening day of the conference.

Papers, Reports and Presentations
A 300 word abstract should be emailed to Christopher Macallister and Dr Robert Fisher by Friday 9th May 2003. Abstracts may be submitted before that date. You will be notified within 10 days of submission whether your proposal has been accepted or rejected.

Delegates who have their proposals accepted will submit an 8 page paper by Friday 11th July 2003; all conference abstracts and papers will be available on this web site before the conference commences.

At the conference, delegates will be given 20 minutes to speak to the main points of their paper and point to the significant themes and issues they wish to highlight and discuss further. 20 minutes is the absolute maximum time permitted for presenting.

Publication Process
All papers accepted for and presented at the conference will be published as a set of conference proceedings/reports in an ISBN eBook.

Selected papers will go forward for development into 15-20 page chapters for publication in themed ISBN hard copy volume. The book will be published by Rodopi publishers as part of the At the Interface/Probing the Boundaries series. Christopher Macallister will be the editor of the inaugural volume.

Venue and Accommodation
The conference venue is the Anglo-American College in Prague. A map locating the venue and the conference hotels is available on the Venue and Accommodation page.

A variety of 3 star and 4 star hotels have been reserved for conference delegates. Please see the Venue and Accommodation page for further details and prices.

Please note: if you are wanting to share a room, all possible effort will be made to find a suitable person with whom it will be possible to share. However, should no such person be found, single room rates will apply for any part or whole of the duration for which a shared room has been requested.

Booking for the hotels - and the availability of the substantially discounted rates - are only available through the official conference booking form.

Conference Registration Fee
The conference registration fee is £105. Included in the fee is

  • copy of the themed hard copy volume

  • access to the project email discussion group

Methods of Payment
There are a number of ways payment can be made.

Cheque
Payment can be made by cheque, in pounds sterling (gbp). Cheques must be drawn against a bank with headquarters in the United Kingdom. Cheques should be made payable to 'Learning Solutions' and sent, with the booking form, to;

Bank Transfer
Payment may be made using bank transfer. Please contact Dr Rob Fisher for bank details. If paying by this method, you must agree to pay all charges at the sending and receiving banks.

Travellers Cheques
Payment may also be made using Travellers Cheques, in pounds sterling (gbp) made payable to 'Learning Solutions'.

By Invoice
You may request that an invoice be sent to you and/or your institution. It is your responsibility to ensure that the invoice is paid prior to the start of the conference.

Payment may also be made using an International Money Order or Western Union transfer.

All fees are payable in advance. No delegate will be permitted entry to the conference if an invoice is still unpaid.
