In several EU member states an UK CCA act–like laws have already been adopted or are seriously discussed. If this model is feasibly and effectively extended the national Climate Change Acts may become a main driving force in the area of GHG emission reductions within the EU realm, by far exceeding the current EU climate change policies targets.

On our way to promotion of  climate change legislation, I would like to present a new website tool - www.climatedatabase.cz. The aim is to collect and share information and know-how about the climate change legislation, as well as to provide with analysis of the various issues related to such laws.

We are planning to update this compilation regularly and would like it to be as comprehensive as possible. Your comments are mostly welcomed. To suggest a document for the database or tips for what to analyse further, for questions about the database, please e-mail us at database@eps.cz. Please feel free to comment and share further, the page is still in progress and there is huge amount of work ahead of us.
