The conference is being held at The Women’s College within the University of Sydney, Sydney, new South Wales, Australia. Founded in 1889 by an Act of the NSW Parliament, the College opened its doors for the first time 1892 as the first residential university for women in Australia. Today it is located within the grounds at the Camperdown Campus of the University of Sydney.

The Women’s College lies less than 4 kilometres to the west of the Sydney city centre. The University of Sydney campus is bordered by two major arterial roads, Parramatta Road and City Road. The College lies on the City Road side of the campus, off Carillon Avenue, Newtown.

By Rail
The nearest railway station to the College is Redfern Station. Central Railway Station, servicing both suburban and country trains, is a short bus or taxi ride away.

By Air
Sydney’s domestic and international terminals are a 20-minute drive from the College. Regular coaches and trains connect the airport to the city.

From the Airport
The ‘Sydney Airporter’ hotel/motel shuttle bus service does stop at College. It departs every 20 to 30 minutes from Bus Bay No. 2 at the International Terminal, & Bus Bay No. 4 from Qantas Domestic Terminal.

For Taxis
The street address of College is 15 Carillon Avenue, Newtown.

From the City
Take buses 422, 423, 426 & 428 along Castlereagh Street or in front of Central Station.

Accommodation is available at The Women’s College. Details of how to book with the College along with a booking form will be released once the deadline for the submission of abstracts has expired. Upcoming Events
2011 New Hubs
2011 will see three new Hubs come into existence. The Gender and Sexuality Hub will launch in May 2011 with 2 new projects "Queer Sexualities" and "Femininity and Masculinity". The Horror Hub will launch in July with new projects in "K-Horror" and "The Fear Inside". And there will be a new Monsters Hub building on and expanding the work of the existing project.

Interdisciplinary Schools
We are pleased to announce that for 2011 we will be launching a series of schools for Easter and Summer, initially in Oxford and then in Europe. There will be a Horror School, a Gender and Sexuality School, a Monsters School, and at least 2 more to be confirmed. Further details will be available at the end of September.
