Humanity, Hostility and Violence is a collection of inter-related research and publications projects which seek to explore the meaning of what it is to be human, and how human beings live and interact with each other in local, national and international communities. Being human isn't easy; and in particular these projects focus on the problems we experience when tensions emerge and conflicts arise.
The projects listed here are presently active and based around annual research conferences held in and around Central and Eastern Europe and the United Kingdom. Other projects are in the planning stage - and we welcome ideas and suggestions for further projects and events.
Clicking on a project title will take you to the project home page; each home page describes in further detail the scope of the project's research interests and provides links to the conference materials, project archives and other information. |
