Timings
The conference will commence at 2.00pm on Friday 6th December 2002 and finish at 5.00pm on Sunday 8th December 2002. Registration will be from 12.00pm on the opening day of the conference.

Papers, Reports, and Presentations
The conference is structured around the areas and issues outlined in the Call for Papers. The aim of the conference is to create inter-disciplinary 'encounter' groups between people of differing perspectives, disciplines, professions, and contexts. As such, the emphasis of the conference sessions will be on engaging with the issues raised in papers and presentations rather than on simply listening to the presentation of the paper.

300 word abstracts are to be submitted by Friday 6th September 2002. Abstracts should be sent by email to Dr Rob Fisher Abstracts may be sent as attachments (Word and WordPerfect accepted) or simply included in the body of the email. You will receive notification of the acceptance or otherwise of your proposal within 7 days of submitting your abstract.

Delegates who have their abstracts accepted for presentation will submit a full draft 8 page paper by Friday 15th November 2002; all conference abstracts and draft papers will be available on this website before the conference commences.

At the conference, delegates will be given 20 minutes to speak to the main points of their paper and point to the significant themes and issues they wish to highlight and discuss further.

Publication Process
All papers accepted for and presented at the conference will be published as a set of conference proceedings/reports in an ISBN eBook and possible CD Rom by the Inter-Disciplinary Press.

Up to 12 papers will be selected to go forward for development into 15-20 page chapters for publication in themed ISBN hard copy volume published in the 'Probing the Boundaries/At the Interface' series by Rodopi.

Editors for both the eBook and themed hard copy volume will be sought from those attending the conference.
